270 PSI Chlorobutyl Braided Steam Hose
GENERAL APPLICATIONS
- The transfer of saturated and superheated steam up to 270 PSI and max 410°F (+210°C) in shipyards, chemical plants and industrial applications
- Proper draining of steam hose after each use will increase service life
- Not recommended for washdown applications where detergent or oils are present
CONSTRUCTION
- Tube – Black extruded CIIR – heat-resistant. Not for steam cleaner use
- Reinforcement – Single high tensile steel wire braids (1/2" size), Two high tensile steel wire braids for 3/4" and above
- Cover – Red or black EPDM – heat-resistant. Wrapped cover fabric impression. Pin-pricked cover to allow venting
SERVICE TEMPERATURE RANGE
Saturated and Superheated Steam. Constant Operation: -40°F (-40 °C) to +410°F (+210°C) Intermittent to +450°F (+232°C)

PLEASE NOTE: Drain hose after each use to avoid tube damage before hose is put back in operation, to avoid "popcorning" of tube.
COUPLING SUGGESTIONS: Steel or malleable iron male insert NPT or female ground joint or washer type with spuds attached with 2 or 4 bolt interlocking clamps.
